Pakistan and Iraq have decided to develop bilateral ties further, with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his Iraqi counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein, meeting in


 Baghdad on Monday.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers of both countries signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU). One to "enhance cultural cooperation" and the other to eliminate visa restrictions for diplomatic and official passports.

According to Bilawal, Pakistan has close ties with Iraq. Both parties shared opinions on many areas of Pakistan-Iraq diplomatic relations.

According to the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bilawal arrived in Iraq on June 5 and will remain till June 7, 2023.


The ministry also tweeted that Bilawal and Hussein presided over a news conference to reaffirm both nations' commitment to improve bilateral relations.

Bilawal also met with Iraqi President Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal and expressed similar thoughts.
