KAKUL: On Saturday, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed that the nation's armed forces had the "will, capability, and capacity" to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity while emphasizing that troops "don't get fascinated with the numbers or resources of their adversaries".
"We are fully aware of the ways and means to achieve it, and we have the will, willingness, and competence to maintain our territorial integrity. At the passing-out parade of cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, General Asim gave the assurance to the people of Pakistan that we would never hesitate to make any and all sacrifices necessary for the defence of our sacred motherland.
The 147th PMA Long Course, 13th Mujahid Course, 66th Integrated Course, 6th Basic Military Training Course, and 21st Lady Cadet Course were among the cadet programmes represented.
The Pakistani people, according to the army chief, are essential to maintaining the country's unity. "First and foremost is loyalty to the state of Pakistan and commitment to the constitutional role assigned to the armed forces of Pakistan."
No obligation is more binding than the protection of our nation, and nothing is more dear to us than the safety and security of our people. Go out right away and live up to your country's aspirations, the COAS said.
The vision of our Great Quaid, he said, symbolised a world beyond caste, colour, race, gender, or geography.
"Our efforts for peace should never be interpreted as a sign of weakness," General Asim stated.
Our enemies are working hard to undermine community cohesiveness and the state via a variety of means. Spoilers of our fought-for peace have no place here, the COAS declared.
The exposed and covert opponents must be found immediately. There must be a distinction between reality and deceit in this case.
"Our enemies are hell-bent upon driving a wedge between its people and the armed forces," he continued.
The army chief stated that the army will make sure the relationship between Pakistan's military and its populace was safeguarded and strengthened. "Afghanistan's stability, security, and peace are essential components of our security.
The COAS declared, "We will continue to offer political, moral, and diplomatic assistance to our Kashmiri brethren.
"Pakistan fully supports its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their long-standing fight for fundamental human rights and their rightful pursuit of self-determination. Without a just and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue, regional peace would always be elusive, the international world must understand, he continued.
The army commander stated, "We will continue to help our Kashmiri brethren politically, morally, and diplomatically over the Kashmir problem.
"The global community must understand that regional peace will always be elusive without a just and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue."
The PMA has continued to be the birthplace of leadership and the centre of excellence for cadets attending this premier institution from inside and throughout the globe, the COAS said in a statement congratulating the graduating cadets, their parents, guardians, and mentors.
The army commander said, "Today's march once again shows the ethics, excellent principles, and great legacies of the institution and Pakistan Army alike."
